Keith Ridley enjoyed a 42-year career in local media. He first came to Eastbourne in 2001 as managing director of TR Beckett (then a subsidiary company within Johnston Press), and was a one-time group editor of its newspapers and websites across Eastbourne, Hastings and Lewes. More recently, he has provided media and communications support to Conference Eastbourne, Eastbourne Borough Council, Eastbourne Business Improvement District and Hailsham Chamber of Commerce. He is also a project manager with employment charity People Matter. Through People Matter, he has partnered closely with East Sussex CountyCouncil - helping to organise jobs fairs across East Sussex and working on projects to find work for Ukrainian refugees and those vulnerably housed. His community roles include business engagement group involvement with the East Sussex College Group, directorship of Eastbourne Education Business Partnership and development board membership of St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
